Hello Everyone , I got a chance to have a online – interview experience Red Hat Internship/Apprenticeship Interview  .

1. How I applied ?

I created my profile in Naukri.com and The Recruiter reached out to me through my email.

2. Date of Offer ?

I was looking for a Full-Time Job after my graduation after May 2023 at the time of recession and Layoffs.

I got call from The Recruiter in early August and asked to send the Resume Again.

3. Time Period of the Red Hat Internship/Apprenticeship 2023 Program ?

The duration of the program was from August 2023 – February 2024 of around 6 months with a stipend of Rs.25000 – Rs.30000 .

Phase-1

I got a Phone- call from the Recruiter that my profile has been shortlisted and told about the Requirements of the skills for Intern . Question asked during Phone-Call are :

  • Tell me about yourself
  • Why are you interested in Internship-Program?
  • Discuss Projects on your Resume .
  • Which Linux Platform do you use ?
  • What do you know about Red-Hat Linux OS?

I answered this question best to my knowledge and moved to the next Round .

Phase-2 

In this Round there were 3 Interviewer , One was a senior Developer with 10+ exp and two other Developers .  Question asked during Online-Interview are

  • Discuss about your Resume.
  • Discuss any one project with details.
    • Question were from the depth concepts whether you have done it by yourself or not so prepare very well.
  • Questions from Database.
    • Differentiate SQL v/s NoSQL.
    • When to use SQL and NoSQL.
  • Questions from Computer Networks.
    • Explain HTTP .
    • Explain REST API.
    • More questions on GET,PUT Method.

Then moving forward in the same Round , Coding Part:

  • Databases -> Asked to give a SQL  command to a query , : Level (Medium) , Usecase of ORDER BY, GROUP BY.
  • DSA -> Fibonacci Series
    • Solved Using Iterative Method.
    • Then Using Recursion.
    • Then Memorization (DP).
    • Discuss Time Complexity and Space Complexity.

Moved to the next Round , Interview scheduled after 2 days.

Phase-3

It was a Managerial Round, the questions were

  • Tell me about yourself
  • Discuss your resume.
  • How do you prefer learning Video-Based ? or Document Based ?
  • Have you worked with any Open-Source Organization ?
  • Likes and Dislikes of Open-Source Organization ?
  • Show your GitHub-Profile and explain a few codes related to a project.

This was the last round and I got the Result after Two days.

 

Result :

Selected , But I didn’t join because I was looking for a full-time and The Internship program doesn’t guarantee a full-time after completion .Also ,I was asked to join Red-Hat Pune-Office Physically for initial few weeks then I can choose Work From Home.
